Thank you for your interest in participating in the Traditional A'i Kofán Yagé Ceremony This coming September 7th at La Pirámide Mandango, Vilcabamba

The Taita Mayor Cesário Lucitante of the A'i Kofán people will share the sacred medicine of yagé, offering an opportunity to connect with the Sacred, explore the inner being, and elevate the spirit. 

Likewise, the evening before the ceremony (i.e., Friday, September 6) we will have a Circle of Words and Informative Talk «Medicinal plants in the daily life of the A´I Kofán nationality of Ecuador» in the same place where the Ceremony will take place.

 

Why Participate?

Yagé, or ayahuasca, is an ancestral medicine that will help you, along with your internal work, to:

  • Expand consciousness and facilitate spiritual connection.
  • Purify the body and mind, providing clarity and understanding.
  • Activate the pineal gland, allowing mystical experiences.

Pre-Ceremony Recommendations

  • Medication: If you are under treatment, please consult with the organizers before stopping any medication.
  • Diet: Avoid red meat, dairy, processed foods, alcohol and psychoactive substances at least a couple of days before.
  • Hydration: Drink water or natural non-citrus juices.
  • Respect and Purpose: Participate with a clear purpose and respect for medicine.
  • Women in their menstrual cycle: It is recommended to wait for another occasion to participate.

 

What to Bring?

  • Mattress and blanket
  • Comfortable and warm clothing
  • Flashlight, toilet paper, and change of clothes
  • Candles and something to share at dawn (fruit, bread, etc.)
  • Water in a thermos

  • Contribution: $55 USD (Ceremony + Talk and Word Circle)
